I think the invite link on Reddit has expired again or something. I tried poking it the yesterday on a whim while I was out and about and it looked like it was going to work but I canceled out since I was on the go and figured I'd get back to it today when I had more time. And now it's saying 'invalid or expired' again. ono;

Yep, there's a reason! The invite link is fine, but you can't connect because you've been banned from the server for now.
I decided to ban you from the discord chat after it came to my attention that you were complaining another server about my request for you to chane your avatar. Not only do you not understand what's appropriate and inappropriate for a family friendly server, you felt the need to bitch about it on another server rather than discussing it with me in a mature manner.
So, what all this means is that to me, you're someone who I figure is pretty likely to stir up the same kind of high-school-esque drama on our server too. I banned you as a preventative measure to keep that out of our community.
I'll lift the ban in 3 months. If you want to rejoin after that period, we'll be happy to have you so long as you follow the rules and cut the drama.

This. This is the extent of the 'bitching about it' as you so eloquently put it. Someone pointed out my avatar change and I stated why I had changed it. I left it impersonal -- not mentioning you or your server by name. At worst I exhibited a minor amount of snark. As I stated, shown in the pasted text above, I had no interest in drama. And yet, here we are.
Let's break this all down, shall we? First, you sent me what appeared to be, and ultimately turned out to be, an ultimatum. Your message gave no hints that discussion was even slightly welcome. Even still I complied. Secondly you seem to have discussed the situation in much more detail than I did to have an agent of yours eavesdropping in other servers looking for any sort of slight against you. This is rather disturbing and leads me to believe that you have blown this relatively minor incident into something to crucify me personally over as publicly as you can. Thirdly, as I stated in my original response to your demand, the way you were handling the situation gave me the feeling that I was unwelcome in your community. It seems it was more than merely a feeling. Lastly, without warning, discussion, or even notice, you banned me. For a quarter of a year.
I did not create or 'stir-up' any drama. You did.

hahaha, yeah I'm feeling better about my decision by the moment. There's no conspiracy to publicly out you, and no public mention of it at all until one of your friends asked on you behalf why you couldn't access the server. As for creating drama, private discussions between you and me aren't drama. Lastly, the only reason I knew about your complaints was because someone I know happened to see them and decided to forward them to me.
This refusal to take any responsibility for your own actions really doesn't make me want to reconsider my decision. What I expect from mature community members in situations like this is to take responsibility for their actions without blaming others, and if they disagree to discuss the matter with us directly. That's not to say that disagreement means that we'll bend the rules, but at least there can be a discussion about why the rules are what they are and how we enforce them.
